Stephen Ojiambo

Mr. Stephen Ojiambo is a Commissioner/Accounts in the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development in the Government of Uganda; the duties he has performed since 2014. At his current job, he is responsible for; PFM Policy development, Treasury Inspection and capacity building under the Accountant General’s Office.

Between 2011-2013, Mr. Ojiambo was an assistant Commissioner/Accounts in the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, also worked at Uganda Prisons Service and Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development as a Principal Accountant in 2009 and 2008 respectively, Senior Accountant at the Ministry of Water, Lands and Environment from 2004-2007 and an Accountant at Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development from 1999-2003.

Prior to joining Government Stephen worked with the New Vision Printing and Publishing Corporation and Centenary Rural Development Bank as an Internal Auditor.

Stephen is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK and also a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelors of Commerce (Accounting) both from Makerere University. He holds other Certificates in several Local and International Courses in Public Finance Management.

Mr. Ojiambo is a Council Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda, and has also served on various boards of both Public and private Institutions.
