Osama Amad has managed the wastewater component of Lebanon CSP since 2019, implementing several sustainable municipal wastewater infrastructure interventions and industrial pretreatment technologies. He has more than 30 years of design, construction, and operations & maintenance experience in the water/wastewater sector.

Prior to Chemonics, Osama was a Superintendent with a leading water/wastewater utility in the Washington, D.C., metro area, responsible for the sustainability, performance, compliance, budgeting , operations and maintenance of major components of the utility’s infrastructure. He also performed numerous short term technical assignments for USAID in the Middle East. Osama holds a Master’s in Engineering Management from George Washington University and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Kuwait University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer, a Board Certified Environmental Engineer by AAEES, and a certified W/WW Superintendent.
