Matthew Macellaro is a financial management and accounting expert with extensive domestic and international experience. He is currently the Program Manager for the USAID Financial Sector Transparency Activity. Previously, he served as a Key Advisor with GFA Consulting Group in Palestine, and has advised the State Bank of Vietnam and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. His past roles include Consultant at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, CFO at the National Microfinance Bank in Tanzania, and Senior Advisor at KPMG/Barents Group, LLC in both Moldova and Kyrgyzstan. Matthew holds an MBA from Long Island University and a BBA from Pace University, and he is a member of the International Executive Service Corp and the Financial Volunteer Service Corp. He has also served as a visiting professor at multiple institutions.
