Joseph Okecho,is member of ICFM and the Chief Finance Officer of the Uganda National Mining Company (UNMC) and a seasoned public financial management and governance executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in finance, audit, infrastructure financing. He has held senior leadership positions at UNMC, the Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited (UEGCL), the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), and the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC), where he has led significant financial, governance, and institutional transformation initiatives. Joseph also serves on the boards of several public, private, and non-profit organizations, providing strategic oversight in governance, finance, risk management, and investment. His expertise spans public financial management, mineral sector governance, fiscal sustainability, ESG reporting, strategic investment, and enterprise risk management.

A doctoral researcher in Strategic Management, Joseph's research focuses on strategic agility and organizational performance of companies trading in Oil and Gas. He is a frequent speaker on public financial management, governance, fiscal sustainability and organisation structuring.
