Lead Technical Advisor, International Budget Partnership, USA

Elena Mondo has held various positions at the International Budget Partnership and is now Lead Technical Advisor, managing the various components of the Open Budget Survey – IBP’s flagship research and advocacy initiative that informs and influences open and accountable budget-making processes and institutions across the globe. Through the years, she has been supporting IBP’s global policy and advocacy team in cross-programmatic and strategic work, leading its capacity development and LME efforts. Prior to joining the IBP, she worked as a consultant for the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, coordinating research on budget practices and procedures in the OECD and Latin American countries. She holds an MPA in public and economic policy from the London School of Economics and an MA in History of Art from Birkbeck, University of London.
