Cindy has been in the public sector for 16 years and has dedicated most of her time to helping organizations overcome challenges and identifying opportunities for growth. She currently serves as the Director for Data Transparency at the Department of Treasury’s Bureau of Fiscal Service Office of Financial Innovation and Transformation, where she leads efforts to promote open data initiatives and enhance transparency in government financial management. With a passion for leveraging technology to drive efficiency and accountability, Cindy advocates for the importance of open data in government operations, recognizing its pivotal role in modernizing financial management practices.
Cindy has been closely involved in expanding digital transformation strategies, finding solutions to agencies' data challenges, and developing long-term strategic and short-term operational plans for cross-government programs in Defense, Finance, Manufacturing, and International Development. Her commitment to promoting open data initiatives reflects her belief in the transformative power of transparent and accessible information. By championing open data, Cindy aims to empower citizens with valuable insights into government operations while fostering collaboration and accountability across diverse sectors.
Cindy holds an MBA from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Maryland.
