Adam Borison

Dr. Borison, Nathan Senior Vice President, is an internationally recognized consultant, academic, and entrepreneur. He is a proven project leader with deep academic qualifications and professional experience in economics, engineering, and mathematics, and has more than 30 years of experience applying advanced methods to planning and operations in power, fuels, and transport. He has broad experience across a wide range of geographies, technologies, and applications, with a particular focus on renewable generation and transportation electrification.

Dr. Borison has recently supported U.S. independent wind/solar/battery development; evaluated Latin American energy strategy, policy, and regulation; analyzed European renewable energy market entry strategies; conducted due diligence on a renewable energy portfolio in India; supported Canadian utility resource planning efforts involving tens of billions in dollars of generation and transmission, and developed strategies for Mozambique’s domestic energy market. In addition, he has evaluated dozens of EV-related incentive programs, designed custom transportation electrification rates, helped develop country- and city-level electrification strategies, and provided training in analytical methods for transportation electrification planning and operations.

Dr. Borison served on the visiting faculty at Stanford University, U.C. Berkeley, and the University of Cambridge; he also co-founded Agni Energy, an India-focused bioenergy company. Dr. Borison is a frequent author and speaker on energy topics, has written numerous articles, and led numerous webinars on power, fuels and transportation electrification. He holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Yale, a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard, and a Ph.D. in Engineering-Economic Systems from Stanford.
