Antonio Blasco

Global PFM Expert, PEFA Secretariat

Antonio Blasco is an Argentinian national who joined the PEFA Secretariat as Senior Governance Specialist (Financial Management). He began his career with the World Bank in 1999 in the Buenos Aires Country Office. His experience covers the Latin American region, as well as other regions such as Eastern Europe and Africa.

Antonio is member of the PEFA Secretariat since 2020. He has been a team leader and assessor in PEFA assessments in Latin America and Europe, including Azerbaijan, Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, and Serbia. He has also contributed to and authored various studies related to governance and public finance, including aspects of internal control, external control of the public sector, and accounting and auditing analysis of the state of the accounting profession (AA ROSC).
