Dr Michael Parry is principal of Michael Parry Consulting LLP and Chairman of PFM Training Limited, providing public financial management training and consulting services to countries across the world. Director of ICGFM Foundation eLearning programme. Formerly chairman of a major international consulting firm, Michael Parry has provided training and advice to governments in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Pacific and the Caribbean. Extensive international finance and management experience in the public and private sectors, including Chief Executive of an international accounting and law training company. Currently Director of the Somalia PFM Education and Training Programme, Academic Director of the Somaliland PFM Education and Training Programme and Chair of the ICGFM Ad Hoc Committee on Accounting Standards. UK Chartered and Management Accountant and Chartered Tax adviser with a first degree in economics and a doctorate in developmental accounting.
