Shova kanta Poudel is the Financial Comptroller General of Nepal and serves as Secretary to the Government of Nepal, providing national leadership on public financial management, treasury modernization, and fiscal governance. With over 25 years of senior experience across revenue administration, customs and tax policy, government accounting, and institutional reform, he has held key strategic roles in multiple ministries and departments. Mr. Poudel has led major initiatives to strengthen fiscal discipline, transparency, and accountability across Nepal’s federal, provincial, and local governments. A strong proponent of digital transformation, he is guiding the long-term roadmap for integrated financial management systems and fiscal risk management. He regularly represents Nepal in global PFM forums and high-level policy dialogue.
