Michael Boyce 

Generative AI Lead, U.S. Digital Response
 

Michael Boyce is the Generative AI Lead at U.S. Digital Response, a nonprofit that provides pro bono technical expertise to state and local governments. He previously founded and directed the Department of Homeland Security's AI Corps, the largest civilian AI team in the federal government. At the White House Office of the Federal CIO, he helped author key sections of the 2023 AI Executive Order and OMB's M-24-10 memo on federal AI governance. He has also served as a Digital Service Expert at the U.S. Digital Service and led Refugee and Asylum technology programs at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. In addition to his regular job, he currently serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Virginia, where he teaches "AI Leadership in the Public Sector."
