Jim Wright, Past President
Jim Wright currently serves as ICGFM's Past President. He also serves as the Vice President for Strategy and Growth for Living Roofs, Inc., a green infrastructure company based out of Asheville, North Carolina. Prior to his work with Living Roofs, Inc., Jim had a fourteen year public sector consulting career, primarily in the international development arena. Jim's consulting career included leading Evans' International Monetary Fund account and Evans' International Practice, as well as serving as a Director of Business Development for the past three years. He also worked in Grant Thornton Global Public Sector's International Practice for five years. Jim supported US Government agencies, foreign governments, and private and non-profit clients during his consulting career. Prior to assuming his current role with ICGFM, Jim served as the President of ICGFM from 2017-2018 and the VP of Membership from 2013-2016.
Jim has a Master's in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.A. in Spanish with a Minor in Latin American Studies from Wake Forest University. He is a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) from the Association of Government Accountants and an active Member of the International Consortium on Governmental Financial Management since 2009. Prior to commencing his public sector consulting career in 2005, Mr. Wright served in the Secretary's Budget Office at the U.S. Department of the Interior. A Presidential Management Fellow alumnus, Mr. Wright also has experience serving as a Federal Public Affairs Officer, as well as a Research Assistant and an Assistant Manager for respective Non-profit agencies.
