Dr. Gambhir Bhatta, Individual Member, Philippines

Gambhir Bhatta

Dr. Bhatta is Technical Advisor, Governance, National Capital Region, Philippines for the Asian Development Bank and provides advice to ADB Management on relevant issues on governance and public sector management as they apply to ADB operations and to general trends. Dr. Bhatta has more than 25 years of experience on governance and public sector management at policy, advisory, and program levels across 4 continents, including in academia.

Currently Adjunct Professor at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in parallel with full-time role as Technical Advisor for Governance at ADB. Previously, he was a Senior Advisor with the State Services Commission in Wellington, New Zealand and Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore. He has also consulted for the United Nations in Nepal, Rwanda, Uzbekistan, Laos, and Timor-Leste. Dr. Bhatta holds a dual Masters Degree in Economics and Political Science from Bowling Green State University and a PhD in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh.
