Darreisha Bates, Secretary
Darreisha Bates is the Program Manager for an international auditor fellowship at the US Government Accountability Office. In this role she leads the planning and execution of an intensive 4 month program that annually brings mid-senior level professionals from international institutions to undergo training in performance auditing and leadership.
This 40 year program provides support to GAO counterpart Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) with the aim of improving the effectiveness of public administration and accountability worldwide. Prior to leading the fellowship, Darreisha served as a professional staff member with the House Armed Services Committee working on military personnel issues and Department wide policy issues. Before her time with the committee, Darreisha worked on a variety of defense issues as a senior analyst at GAO. Darreisha also served as President of the Board of Directors for the American Association for Budget and Program Analysis.
